About Biscay Orchards

Biscay Orchards was planted by a Maine State Senator, Edward B. Denny Jr., in the early 1950's.  Today it is owned and operated by his grandson, Michael Reny, and his wife.  There are approximately 500 apple trees situated on 6 acres nestled between Pemaquid Lake and Biscay Pond in Damariscotta.  Some of the original trees are still producing bushels of apples every year!  Biscay Orchards remains one of the few Maine orchards that allow their apples to tree-ripen, has pick-your-own and still doesn't pasteurize their cider.  A visit to Biscay Orchards is like stepping into the past...simple and memorable, as if Mike's grandfather was still tending to the business.
